By accessing or using Existential Burn (“the Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
Existential Burn is a free, community tool that allows Claude Code users to voluntarily upload their usage statistics, view personal dashboards, and participate in anonymous leaderboard rankings. The Service is provided as-is with no guarantees of availability, accuracy, or data persistence.
The Service uses anonymous, cookie-based authentication. No registration, email, or personal information is required. Your account is tied to a browser cookie (eb_token). Clearing your cookies will disassociate you from your account. We are not responsible for account recovery if your cookie is lost.
You acknowledge that:
You agree not to:
Team features allow users to form groups and view aggregated statistics. Team membership is visible to other team members. Team administrators can remove members. You may leave a team at any time.
Rankings are calculated from uploaded data and displayed publicly under anonymous display names. Rankings reset each season (quarterly). We reserve the right to remove entries that appear to contain fabricated or manipulated data.
You may delete all your data at any time through your profile page. Deletion removes your account, uploads, team memberships, and leaderboard entries. This action is permanent and cannot be undone.
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT GUARANTEE UNINTERRUPTED ACCESS, DATA ACCURACY, OR DATA PERSISTENCE. USE THE SERVICE AT YOUR OWN RISK.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE SERVICE AND ITS OPERATORS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF DATA.
We reserve the right to terminate or suspend access to the Service at any time, for any reason, without notice. You may stop using the Service at any time by deleting your data and clearing your browser cookie.
The Service's design, code, and branding are the property of the project maintainers. Your uploaded usage data remains your data. By uploading, you grant the Service a license to process, display, and aggregate your data for leaderboard and dashboard features.
We may modify these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. Significant changes will be noted on this page.
Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your data. For questions about these Terms, open an issue on the project's GitHub repository.
